In My Blood. (Spoken Word)

Music is in my blood!

White coats define it as sound waves,

I’d say oceanic waves of love;

A celestial gift from above.

Many have found grace through pushing the keys,

singing rejoices or plucking the bass.

Ancestors through it relate,

lessons of life to improve the fate

of the young, beat of the drum

freestyling under the African sun

same lessons to us our mothers have sung

I see childhood memories

on my mind’s TFT play back;

and returning to science

it’s been proven music can do that.

Ever heard a George Benson chord

and travelled back to good days like a time lord?

Dr who? I can’t afford a shrink right,

so lay back on the groove

and speak my secrets to the mic.

Free insecurity induced street hype

through mass artist cloning

that shit’s now rife

Doctor Drummer hit that snare that you prescribed

so I can decifer your boogie morse code

that’ll lead me to the light

Near death experiences. In dark tunnels I reside

Power up, CLEAR!…Music just saved my life.
